Living for Christ and Prospering in His Blessings
Scriptural Foundations:
Ecclesiastes 1:2 – "Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity."
Matthew 22:37 – "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
Deuteronomy 8:18 – "But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the power to create wealth, confirming His covenant that He swore to your ancestors."
Psalm 90:17 – "May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands."

Life is fleeting, and many people chase after wealth, status, and recognition, only to realize at the end that none of these things bring lasting fulfillment. My Imitation of Christ by Thomas à Kempis teaches that true joy is found in knowing God and not in worldly possessions. While the world tells us that success is measured by money and fame, Jesus teaches that a heart set on eternity is the greatest treasure.
This is not to say that material things are evil, but when they become our priority over God, they lead us astray. Many people live their lives thinking that they have unlimited time to seek God. But how much time do we truly have?
True Life Story: The Journey of Sundar Singh
Sundar Singh, born into a Sikh family in India, had access to wealth and privilege. However, as a young man, he found himself empty inside. No matter what he gained, he felt lost. At one point, he even considered ending his life. But in a moment of divine grace, he had a vision of Jesus Christ, and his life changed forever.
He abandoned his wealth and comfort, choosing instead to walk the path of a Christian sadhu (holy man), spreading the Gospel and living a life of simplicity. Despite facing persecution, hunger, and hardship, he remained joyful because he had found something greater than worldly riches—he had found Christ.

Prayer of the God of Armies

His story reminds us that our true treasure is in Jesus. If we chase only after earthly things, we may miss the eternal blessings God has prepared for us.
Reflection:
What Are You Living For?
1. The things of this world will pass away.
What will remain at the end of your life? Your relationship with God is what matters most.
2. God calls us to seek Him first.
Matthew 6:33 – "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."
3. Life’s purpose is not in wealth but in knowing God.
If you have everything but do not have Jesus, you have nothing. But if you have Jesus, you have everything.
But while you are living this life of imitation of Christ, remember to work hard! Jesus never said we should be idle or remain in poverty. In fact, He desires to bless the work of our hands.

Work Hard and Prosper in God’s Blessings
Many people believe that faith and work do not go together. But the truth is God wants us to be successful! The Bible is filled with verses about diligence, success, and prosperity.
Work is not a punishment—it is a divine blessing. God has given us talents, abilities, and opportunities so that we may prosper and be a blessing to others.

How to Prosper in Your Career and Business
✔️ Pray for wisdom and divine guidance.
✔️ Work hard and be excellent in your job.
✔️ Avoid laziness and procrastination.
✔️ Stay honest and faithful—God blesses integrity.
✔️ Give to God and to those in need.

True Life Story: The Success of Strive Masiyiwa
Strive Masiyiwa, one of Africa’s greatest entrepreneurs, grew up in hardship. He could have accepted defeat, but instead, he worked hard and trusted in God. Even when the government blocked his business for years, he prayed, persisted, and never gave up.
Today, he is a billionaire, but more than that, he is a man who gives generously. He sponsors over 40,000 orphans’ education in Africa. His success proves that when you honor God in your work, He will lift you up!
Reflection: Success is Not a Sin!
1. God is the giver of success.
Deuteronomy 8:18 – "It is God who gives you the power to create wealth."
Do not fear success—embrace it as God’s blessing!
2. Diligence leads to prosperity.
Proverbs 10:4 – "Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth."
If you are faithful in your work, God will reward you.
3. Wealth is a tool for good.
Use your success to bless others, support your family, and help the poor.

Closing Prayer – Pray With Me
A Prayer for Holiness and Prosperity
Heavenly Father,
Let me not be far from You.
Help me to imitate Christ in my thoughts, my words, and my actions.
Teach me to seek eternal treasures and not be consumed by vanity.
But, O Lord, prosper the work of my hands!
Bless my efforts so that I can provide for my family.
Open doors of opportunity, increase my wisdom, and enlarge my territory.
Let me rise in my career and business—not for selfish gain,
but so that I may glorify You, help others, and be a witness of Your goodness.
May I work hard, remain faithful, and always remember that it is You who gives me the power to prosper.
I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
Closing Benediction
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
God of Armies, God of gods, Christ Jesus, be praised forever, you are the greatest spiritual being of all time, Amen.
