In the Gospel of Luke, we encounter the beautiful prayer of the Magnificat, in which Mary humbly acknowledges the great things the Lord has done for her, proclaiming, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior." Mary's spirit is filled with gratitude and joy because she recognizes that she has been chosen to fulfill a role unlike any other in history – to be the Mother of God.

The Blessed Virgin Mary's "yes" to God's plan is a testament to her unwavering faith and trust in the divine will. Her obedience to the Angel Gabriel's message serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of aligning our own will with God's. Mary's fiat, her "let it be done unto me," is an invitation to each of us to embrace the sacred callings in our lives with open hearts and minds.
